Always down home country food. Driveway is on a busy Main street best be cautious when arriving or exiting. If you're walking please go to the street lights at each intersection. As a reminder it's ver close to freeway. Caution
I love Black Bear Diners and the one in Woodland is no exception! I love the country fried steak. I get it every time. Black bear always serves HUGE portions for really great prices. It's a great casual joint with quick and attentive service. I love the bear theme, and I love the diner feel. We always get the banana cream pie as an ode to my late mother who loved banana cream pies. Honestly, all of their pies are great. You can't go wrong. Truly, Black bear is such a great stop. Great food, service, and prices!
We came here after a brief but smelly experiance at Denny's up the freeway, man am I glad we did. The food was excellent and for the price the portions were huge (like too big). My wife, who orders from the childs menu becuase she doesn't eat very much, had leftovers. Seriously, her plate was what I would consider a "normal" adult meal. Anyways, the food was excellent, and the service was even better. I wish I caught her name but our waitress was the best. Always on top of everything and one of the most pleasent people we've had serve us. This is truly a great place to stop and eat.

I can safely say BBD's are more alike than they are different. I've dined at quite a few different BBD locations and several things remained constant: 1-Service 2-Food Quality and preparation (Bacon Eggs for my breakfast OR Burger for lunch) 3-location easy access and usually close to freeway on and off ramps 4- That BEAR!!!! Coffee for me this go around as I had other places to visit and dine in. But do stop in if you're looking for a meal coming to/fr the Woodland or even if you are a Woodland resident.
I really love this place for a good meal with my family! We love Sara! She is the best waitress! I got the Bears Choice breakfast and it was delicious! The pancakes are the best in town! Join their club for a free meal on your birthday!
